What warm basalt does that hands alone cannot.

Basalt is volcanic rock that holds heat the way deep water holds summer. Warmed and worked along the body, it carries warmth farther into muscle than hands alone can reach.

The physiology is refreshingly plain. Heat widens blood vessels, so circulation improves and tissue receives more of what it needs. Warm muscle releases at a depth that would otherwise take long, sustained pressure to earn. And warmth is the oldest safety signal the body knows, so the whole system settles while the work goes deeper.

The research is encouraging in honest ways. Studies have found heat-assisted massage reduces pain and anxiety for people living with fibromyalgia, and improves sleep for people under serious medical stress. We do not claim miracles here. We claim mechanics that work.

In the sanctuary, the stones are woven into a session where your body calls for them, not performed as a set menu. The conversation over chai tells us where the warmth belongs before a single stone is placed.

If your tension has a stubborn, wintered-in quality, this is the work built for it.
