Arrive

Come a little early. You are welcomed at the door, your coat is taken, and a pour is offered: caffeine-free masala chai made in house, herbal tea, or simply water. Nothing is asked of you yet. Every ritual beyond the massage itself is optional.

II

The conversation

Before any hands-on work, a few minutes in the lounge on what your body is carrying today: where it holds, what it needs, how much pressure feels right, and anything you would rather leave out. The plan for the next ninety minutes is built here, not assumed.

III

The work

Deep Restorative Massage™ is slow and deliberate. Sustained pressure gives tissue time to soften rather than forcing it, and passive stretching returns range of motion to shoulders, hips and hands that a desk has been rationing. Pressure is set by you and read continuously by the therapist. Deep is not the same as painful.

A flat palm pressed between the shoulder blades through the quilted drape
Work through the drape, so only the area being treated is uncovered
Both hands holding a guest's hand and wrist, the arm raised from the table
Hands and wrists, for anyone who lives at a keyboard
Arash holding a guest's raised leg at the ankle and calf, eyes on the work
Range of motion, not only pressure.
Three warmed stones resting along a guest's spine
Warmed stones, the length of the spine.
IV

Warmth

Warmed stones travel the length of the body, carrying heat deeper than hands alone can. Arnica-infused oil is warmed between the palms before it touches skin. Steamed towels and weighted thermal therapy follow, so the body reads warmth, weight and quiet: three signals a nervous system reads as safety.

V

The close

The last minutes are as still as the first. A few resonant notes close the session, then quiet. You leave slowly: water, an unhurried goodbye, the door held. Set aside about two hours in all.

The room, between guests.
What is included

One session. Everything in it.

Questions
How long should I set aside?

About two hours: arrival and the pour, the conversation, ninety minutes on the table, the close. The calendar blocks the time so nothing is rushed.

What is the jade stone ritual?

Smooth jade stones, warmed, moved along the body and rested where the tissue is tightest. Heat reaches deeper than hands alone, so the work that follows goes further with less force.

Is the chai part of it?

Only if you want it. The pour is yours to choose: chai, herbal tea, or water. Every ritual beyond the massage itself is optional.

Is this deep tissue or relaxation?

Both, in the proportion your body asks for. Deep Restorative Massage™ adapts its pressure region by region; you set the ceiling and it is read continuously. Deep is not the same as painful.

What do I wear, and how does draping work?

Undress to your comfort. You are draped throughout, and only the area being worked is uncovered.

How far ahead should I reserve?

The calendar opens 28 days out and stays small on purpose. If the time you need is not showing, call (828) 222-3731.

The table is ready, one flight up.
