Most couples massages in Asheville happen in a spa suite off a busy corridor. This one happens in a sanctuary built for exactly one session at a time. When you reserve for two, the whole room is yours: two tables set side by side, two therapists, and a door that stays closed until you are done.

Arrive together

Come a little early. You will be welcomed, offered a pour of your choosing, caffeine-free masala chai made in house, herbal tea, or simply water, and each of you will talk through what your body needs. Every ritual beyond the massage itself is optional.

Your own therapist, your own session

The room is shared. The work is not. One of you may want slow, deep pressure through the back and hips; the other, something lighter and more restorative. Each therapist works to the body in front of them, and the two sessions run in the same unhurried rhythm.

Low light, warm textures, a quiet that is deliberate. Every element of the room is chosen to settle the nervous system, so the last minutes of the session are as still as the first. You leave together, and you leave slowly.

Use either Reserve button on this page, or choose Couples Experiences from the menu when you reserve. The Couples 90 is the full ritual; the Couples 60 is the focused one.

Choose a therapist for each of you

You will pick a provider for the first guest, then the second. The calendar shows only the times when both therapists and both tables are free.

Hold the time

A card on file holds your reservation. A confirmation arrives at once, and a note the day before with everything you need for arrival.

If You Are Searching for an Asheville Spa

A sanctuary, not a spa.

If you are looking for an Asheville spa with a sauna, a salt room, body scrubs and facials, we are not that, and Asheville has good ones. Arash Massage is one private room in the heart of downtown where the only thing on the menu is massage, done with unusual care.

That narrowness is the point. A spa is a building full of treatments. This is a room built around one: slow, deliberate bodywork that works with the nervous system rather than against it, in a space where every surface, sound and degree of light was chosen to help the body settle. For two people who want to do that together, it is a very different afternoon from a spa day.

We are the official massage partner of The Restoration Hotel, a short walk away, and the sanctuary is one flight above Haywood Street, one block from the Grove Arcade.

Are we in the same room for a couples massage?

Yes. The sanctuary is one private room with two tables set side by side. You are massaged at the same time, by two therapists, and you leave together.

Can we each have different pressure and focus?

Yes. Each of you has your own therapist and your own intake, so one of you can have slow, deep work through the back and hips while the other has something lighter and more restorative. The room is shared. The session is yours.

Which days are couples sessions available?

Available couples dates show in the online calendar when you reserve for two. If the day you want is not there, call (828) 222-3731 and we will try to arrange a second therapist. Solo sessions are available Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. For anything else, write to concierge@arashmassage.com and we will tell you honestly what is possible.

How far ahead should we reserve a couples massage?

The calendar is intentionally small and couples sessions take two therapists, so reserve as early as you can, ideally a week or more ahead. Reserving online takes about a minute, and the calendar opens 28 days out.

How long should we allow?

Plan on about an hour and three quarters in the sanctuary for the Couples 90, and about an hour and a quarter for the Couples 60. That includes a short welcome and an unhurried close, so nothing feels rushed.

Is the price for one person or two?

For two. The Couples 90-Minute Arash Massage is $450 and the Couples 60-Minute is $320, each covering both guests and both therapists.

Can we give a couples massage as a gift?

Yes. Gift cards are available in any amount at arashmassage.com/gift-cards and can be used toward a couples session. The recipients reserve their own date.

Is the chai part of the couples session?

Only if you would like it. The welcome pour is yours to choose: caffeine-free masala chai made in house, herbal tea, or simply water. Every ritual beyond the massage itself is optional.
