August 2026 · The First Visit

What to expect from your first Arash massage.

A first visit deserves a little map.

The sanctuary sits at 35 Haywood Street, Suite 203, one flight of stairs above the middle of downtown Asheville. There is no storefront glow and no front desk, which is the point. The day before your visit, a short text arrives with your door code. Step in, climb the flight, breathe. Arriving a few minutes early is exactly right, and a few minutes is plenty.

We begin with a short conversation about your body. Where it holds. What it needs. How much pressure feels like enough, and how you will tell us if it stops feeling that way. Then the talking ends, unless you want it. Some guests give notes through the whole session. Some disappear entirely and surface only for water. Both are correct.

The work itself is slow and deliberate, built around the nervous system rather than the clock. When it closes there is water, a few resonant notes of sound, and no hurry at all. Expect to feel slower for the rest of the day, in the best way, and drink more water than seems reasonable.

If it is your first visit, book the 90 minute session. Sixty minutes is a good massage. Ninety is the reason the reviews read the way they read.

The rest happens on the table.
